About Me
I lived in Kent up until I was 13, where I was a member of Maidstone Swimming Club and then Mote Park Swimming Club. I swam competitively but rarely came home with a medal; I just really enjoyed the atmosphere of a meet and the personal challenge of trying to be a bit better than I was last time.
When we moved from Kent to Cornwall, I joined Perranporth SLSC and Newquay Cormorants, but teenage life took over and sadly I stopped attending both within a few years.
My love for swimming was reignited when my daughter showed a talent for the sport, and I spent many hours poolside. The warm chlorine atmosphere brought back happy childhood memories!
I have been CMSC’s Welfare Officer since the club’s formation and have enjoyed seeing it grow and develop into the warm and welcoming inclusive swimming community it is today.
